As program director at the Kensington Early Learning Center in Kansas City she can help at-risk young children -- and she'll be working for the highly respected veteran educator Drew Malachi. Also, the wildly intriguing Pim Brauer has finally taken very real notice of Hayley. Life isn't just good, it's terrific.

Drew's plans for the Center are not universally embraced by the staff, but Hayley leaves that worry to her mentor and focuses on getting to know the children and parents by day and Pim by night.
