Social skills are not something that have ever come easily to Alice. Armed with a mouth that works faster than her brain, and the coordination skills of a blind man in a boxing ring, she has always been as accident prone as she was unpopular. Art is about the only thing that makes sense in her chaotic world, and she's finally found a place to call home tucked away in her studio where she can make her marbled masterpieces in an understanding community of artists. As her fragile confidence grows, she has decided to balance out her anxiety with bravery, saying ‘yes' when new opportunities arise. Although Beck would love to possess the artistic abilities of some of his clients, his talents have always lay in composition, artistic appreciation, and the ability to see beauty even when it is concealed. When he enters Alice's colorful studio, he is effectively down the rabbit hole without a paddle in sight. All he wanted was the opportunity to sketch her - but once he has seen Alice's world, will it be possible for him to go on living without her? With a dream job opportunity looming in Chicago he can't change his life for a girl he's only seen twice - can he?
