Description
Loretta Fenton visits her father's ranch to open it up for the Holidays. She plots with her younger brother Robby to distract their mother so Robby can remain on the ranch and work instead of going to college. Loretta's meddling lands her in trouble. How was she to know Lou Hayward, the ranch foreman, would take her mild flirtation seriously? More important, how was she to know she would fall head or heels in love with the wooden fencepost! Loretta knew she could never survive living on the ranch. She was inept when it came to cooking, cleaning house, or doing anything useful. After all, Loretta was a member of the privileged class. She did not need to know how to do anything useful.
