Melissa returns to Holderly Hall, the stately old mansion where her cousin Margo lived until she killed herself. She is awakened in the night by a faceless voice calling her name and catches the scent of Margo's perfume warring through her room. Does the ghost of Margo wander through the house? Or is it a sinister plot designed by someone who does not want her to remain at Holderly Hall for fear that she will unravel the mystery behind Margo's death! When Melissa hears the piano playing, sees the keys depress by themselves, she becomes convinced that Margo is trying to communicate with her. But what is she trying to say? What could be the meaning of the cryptic messages? Does the music from the past warn of very present danger?
