Her daughter is also involved in the Deaf Community as a teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (D/HH), as well as an advocate for people with special needs. Sounds of Silence follows a Deaf family depicting the unique struggles that this community deals with including Cochlear Implants, language equality and acquisition, accessibility for all D/HH, and adults who are late-deafened due to disease, injury or war deafness. She hopes to tell the stories her sister cannot; to make the public aware of this information and message wrapped up in a beautiful romance.
