Description
The Suspicious Suitor
Cassandra Hathaway had the good fortune to have both beauty and brains. But unfortunately for her, brains was the one thing that Paul Templeton, the Marquess of Blytheland, did not approve of in a woman. The Marquess was convinced that no female could be both free-thinking and virtuous, and no argument could alter that view. But that was before Cupid had targeted him for a complete reversal of attitude, making the poor unsuspecting Marquess a hopeless victim of Cassandra's charms.
Since this otherwise total paragon of male perfection was the only man who had ever captured Cassandra's heart at a single glance, she faced a most difficult choice. She either had to mask her intelligence, a task as demeaning as it was difficult. Or else she had to prove without a doubt that the armor of her honor had no chink. Cupid, of course, could easily guarantee that this would be harder to do when the magnificent Marquess took her in his arms....
