Romance turns into dark terror...

Intrigued by a resemblance between herself and a beautiful New York belle of the 1880's named Candace Hunt, young Toni Forrest moves to New York to the very house where Candance was enigmatically murdered 35 years ago.

And then suddenly Toni is the victim of odd goings on - weird threats, dark terror, the landlord's strange attempts to force her out of her apartment.

It is then that Toni with the help of the landlord's handsome young son, begins the struggle to learn the secret behind her mysterious past - and the macabre mansion at 13 Winston Street.
