Description
After lovely young Alyssa Colfax was forced to sell her farm to pay her grandmother's medical and funeral expenses, she moved to the city, "where the jobs are." But she soon discovered that all those jobs would trap her in an office all day. After twenty-four-years on the farm and the freedom of its wide-open acres, she felt she could not face that. And so when she came across an advertisement for a live-in companion to a bedridden women in a spacious suburban home, she was interested.
So Alyssa contacted the Wyrick's and went to Aerie, their home. The ill woman, Elinor Wyrick, had been injured in a fall and had remained bedridden, although her broken bones had mended. Immediately drawn to Alyssa, Mrs. Wyrick confided her fears to her--that someone in the house wanted to cause her harm. But who could it be?
Alyssa decides to invade Aerie, the nest of the bird of prey, to protect Mrs. Wyrick. But can she protect herself?
