Sure enough, someone is inconsiderate enough to get themselves shot in the face only a few months before Maddy's wedding. Maddy can't initially explain why a lawyer with an immaculate reputation had another dead body and a massive quantity of narcotics in his trunk. What at first appears to be a random act of violence leads to deeper layers of confusion.
