It's 1931. New York City. The Great Depression has just begun. Life is unbelievably hard. People everywhere are struggling to just stay alive. For Kyle Brubaker and Hilly Northrup the streets of New York turned out to be as rough then as they can be today. With two new friends willing to show them the city and share their lives, Kyle and Hilly become immersed in the poverty of a Hooverville.
