One Brick at a Time — J.P. Bowie

Tony Visconti is trying to put his life back together again after being dumped by his boyfriend several months earlier.

There is demolition going on next door to Tony's apartment and Tony feels the construction guys won't mind if he takes a couple of bricks from a pile on the site. He is apprehended by handsome Steve Taylor who tells Tony he's a bricklayer and the bricks are his---and what does Tony think he's doing stealing them?

Despite the awkward meeting the two part on a friendly basis, and when Tony helps Steve to roust out some would-be robbers of his bricks, the first stirrings of mutual attraction and lust lead to a night of hot sex. Tony begins to feel he might just have met the man who can turn his life around, but hatred and jealousy rearing their ugly heads from his past threaten his new relationship.

Can Tony and Steve survive the malicious slander that is being spreadabout Tony's character, or is the love they've built, one brick at a time, not strong enough to withstand the trouble that looms ahead.
