But she has no choice, and she takes her pension and retires to a small Connecticut home outside Hartford. Looking for a diversion from the boredom of her residential neighborhood and its suburban gossips, Betty takes a three-day temporary position at Zig-Zag, a small computer firm.

Boredom is a thing of the past when the highest-ranking female employee is murdered the day before Betty gets to work and she's got to pitch in and keep the office running.
