The Blades: Paris — Josef Black

Late August 2001, less than 24 hours after Archer's Bravo Seven Troop patrol defeats a large scale terrorist attack carried out by an Al Qaeda cell in the centre of London, Zara Scott, the British Secret Intelligence Service (SIS / MI6) Al Qaeda analyst stationed in Pakistan, is attacked by an unknown assassin in her London apartment. After Captain Tony ‘Tiger' Lane's intervention, and a further attempt on her life less than an hour later, MI5 discovers a subcontractor has leaked information on over 100 MI6 agents and analysts to an information broker in Paris.

Despite lacking official clearance beyond his OIC; Major Tom, Tiger is determined to take down whoever is threatening Zara's life. Tiger travels with Mack and Archer to Paris to locate the intelligence broker and gain information on who is behind the assassination attempt. When their intelligence leads to a high ranking member of the Saudi Royal Family, Tiger is left with a difficult decision, to protect Zara he must risk a major diplomatic catastrophe.



The Blades: SAS Special Operations Force series follows Archer's Seven Troop through 6 novella length stories as he carries out a range of operations during 1998 to the eve of the 9/11 attacks in 2001.
