Samantha Sutton heads to the perilous cliffs of Preah Vihear for her most spectacular excavation yet

Thirteen-year-old Samantha Sutton agrees to join her uncle Jay in the jungles of a disputed Southeast Asian frontier to help excavate the spectacular clifftop fort of Preah Vihear. A major film studio has agreed to bankroll the project, but only if Jay consents to serve as the archaeology consultant on one of their movies. As armed skirmishes break out around them, Samantha discovers that the hostility is a studio-fabricated publicity stunt. She must work quickly to assemble an unlikely team of allies in order to cool the tensions before lives are lost, the site destroyed and her uncle's career damaged beyond repair.
