Description
This is a fact based fictionalized account of a self 'professed' Mob Boss named Tony Caramono. In 1988 he was convicted of fraud and sent to prison. Subsequently, so the rumour goes, he was involved in a large scam (possibly involving millions of dollars). Apparently Tony got some kind of deal with the authorities to testify against his partner and entered a witness protection program.
Shortly after this his wife and kids disowned him, so he was as free as a bird. He set up shop in a small British Columbia town. Was it by chance or was it planned? This town has a reputation for attracting older and, by and large, wealthier retirees from Vancouver and other parts of the country.
In '98 Tony met a pathetic young woman who was using drugs and was in an abusive relationship. Tony Caramono sets a high moral standard for everyone but himself. While he will always justify his own dubious behaviour, he is appalled to see it emanate from others. He rescues this poor girl who is on the verge of psychological collapse and she jumps from the frying pan into the fire.
