Description
The thesis of the Strike! Series of books is that the various paranormal phenomena that humans have reported over time are real. I have written the story of the fictional Tsitsistas People as if all of the stories of ghosts, mind reading, intuition, spiritual life after death, telekinesis, out-of-body experiences, apparitions, guardian angels, premonitions, and etcetera, reported by humans over the millennia are not only true, but can be controlled with the proper training of a human mind. The fictional Tsitsistas people learn to harness the true power of the human mind over a very long period of time. I hope to have described the development as a logical evolution of human abilities, like the variations of human speech or the ability for the human mind to solve complex problems. The story begins in Strike! First Part with a soldier in the twentieth century who has experienced extreme, for him, stress during military combat. He believes that a Spirit is in his head to guide him in mortal life in order to keep him safe and to guide him while he copes with his past stress after he leaves his nation's army. We currently call the inability of a human mind to cope with past terror ‘post traumatic stress'. Some people are better at coping with horrid personal events than others. In the event, the traumatized soldier marries his childhood sweetheart and lives a long, fulfilling, life. He is always haunted by the events he has witnessed many decades earlier, however happy his life has become. The former soldier dies in extreme old age, 92, firmly believing that his beloved wife, who has died some three years before him, has also joined him in his mind as a Spirit and he believes that they will live together forever. This last attempt to feel that his mind has found peace with his previous wartime experiences, i.e., his personal rationalization of past stressful events, is the motivating factor for him to want to live with his beloved forever. She will ease the hurt his mind has endured. His belief that his wife's Spirit is inside his mind is so strong that he renames himself for her on his deathbed, Lyllia. NB: I have invented a new way for the Spirits to communicate. This is NOT parlor trick telepathy. This is the same method of conversational expression you and I would have verbally if we ever met. The Spirits simply communicate mind-to-mind using stimulating mental ‘touching'. The Spirits do not use words. For the Spirits to use words would be silly because Spirits not only do not speak, they have no mortal presence. They also used different languages when they were alive, i.e. mortal. So the Spirits use mental images and symbols. For example, imagine that you are attempting to communicate with someone who does not speak your language. You begin using a smart phone, a keyboard and, exclusively, the emotive symbols found on your smart phone (e.g. emojis) to communicate. Instead of the ‘bing' noise you would hear from your smart phone to let you know of an incoming message, you would feel a physical ‘touch' inside your mind. Imagine further that instead of using machines to use the emojis, you would be using your mind's ability to graphically send, receive, and interpret the images. (E.g. like the images of an intense dream in the first seconds after you awake.) Your mind would gradually make sense of the images and symbols that appear inside your mind instead of trying to make sense of emojis with your eyes and fingers on the smart phone screen. This is a new form of communication between Spirits and humans that occurs completely inside either a human mind or Spirit's mind. Brackets, [ ], indicate mind-to-mind communication. Hahoo manaho!
