Description
Imagine Christmas is a family treasure trove of Christmas stories that will put a smile on your face and perhaps bring a tear to your eye. Imagination is a wonderful gift from the Lord when used for his glory. Each year, for who knows how many years, the author wrote one or more Christmas stories that were initially geared to children. He wrote them for his own sons and shared as well with nieces, nephews and children at church. As his sons nieces and nephews grew older, the stories went through a metamorphosis -- the writing of a children's story and a story for adults as well. The result is a delightful anthology featuring twenty-one inspiring Christmas stories the whole family will enjoy. Some of the stories are primarily for children, while others are primarily for adults, but for the most part they are stories in which the whole family will delight. The author's family and friends encouraged the publication of the Christmas anthology. Truly, if you enjoy Christmas, you will enjoy the Imagine Christmas stories such as Little Swan, Peep Learns a Lesson, Little Red Santa, Scrooge Was Right After All, The Hobgoblin, The Last Mouse in the House, the award winning Pet Store Christmas Mystery, and more. The Christmas stories included in this anthology are a mix of the serious and the amusing, and from feedback received, the author has found that adults tend to enjoy the children's stories as much as the adult stories and children tend to enjoy the adult stories along with the children's stories. Some stories give pause for thought and some are lighthearted and fun. Most of the stories have a Christ-centered message, however, a few are simply enjoyable Christmas stories written with a Christian worldview at their core. One might wonder which stories are for adults and which are for children. The stories appear in alphabetical order rather than being categorized relative to age applicability. Some, like Peep Learns a Lesson, are obviously oriented to children, while with others, like Gift of Silent Words, are clearly oriented more to the adult members of the family. On the other hand, none of the stories are inappropriate for children. It is just that some of the stories might be too deep for younger children to comprehend the details. The Pet Store Mystery was published in an anthology by Weems Concepts and won the “Best in Edition” award. Gift of Silent Words, based on a true story, was published by Weems Concepts and later by VOICE Magazine. They are the only stories submitted for publication in an anthology or magazine outside of Imagine Christmas. This anthology is the first offering of the other nineteen stories to a broader readership. These Christmas stories are written for Christ's pleasure as well of the pleasure of each reader and listener. Read them and smile. Read them to others and smile together. Read them and reflect on the wonder of Christmas. It is hoped that through Imagine Christmas Christ will bless your heart and enhance your Christmas holiday.
