Description
For Nan, The Marches was the home she had never had--something to be treasured, fought for. She hadn't yet learned that love can't be bound by four walls.
Archeologist Corinne Douglas had offered Nan Hamilton a secretarial job, and the pretty redhead was delighted. It would mean traveling to such fascinating places... Greece, for instance, and India. But Nan's first "expedition" was up the Hudson River -- to Clinton-on-Hudson -- to see about selling "The Marches," an estate Corinne had unexpectedly inherited from furniture manufacturer Kevin March, an old beau. For the moment, the house was occupied by his son, young Kevin, who now had the responsibility of running the family business. When Nan saw the lovely old English-style manor, she couldn't understand how anyone could bear to give it up, but Corinne was determined to sell -- over Kevin's protests. And as Nan got to know him better, she began secretly to hope that something -- anything -- would happen to stop Corinne...
