Description
When lovely young nurse Anne Carter inherited a New England estate, complete with mansion, her life found strange new paths and problems. The possession of Queen's Grant meant the fulfillment of a cherished dream, yet brought her bitter enemies.
For another thing, she was faced with a choice among three attractive men: Dr. Steve, who loved her perhaps too possessively; Bob, the fascinating stranger with a mysterious past; and Brad, the "boy next door" -- who happened to be a millionaire.
No matter what happened, Anne Carter knew her life would never be the same!
Anne Rowe Carter was serving as a nurse in a big New York City hospital when she received the unexpected news that she had inherited from a recently deceased aunt a large estate, The Queen's Grant in Glenbrook, Massachusetts. Although she had visited the place as a child, Anne remembered it only vaguely and was curious to see it again. After spending a short time there, the nurse decided that it would be an ideal site for a model rest home and set about seeking the information and co-operation she would need before she could bring her plan to fruition.
The girl immediately found herself facing seemingly insurmountable obstacles. First, there was a young man who claimed to be a co-heir and who could effectively block Anne if his claim proved valid. Second, there was the opposition of some of her new neighbors as well as that of a young doctor who wanted Anne just to sell and marry him.
