Description

Code-name: Wolf Pack

In a pre-9/11 world, an elite CIA counterterrorist Black Ops team with an on-loan MI6 agent hunts the most dangerous terrorist on the planet.

This novel's intense and compelling plot not only drew Pentagon scrutiny, but also landed it in the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) library right next to Clancy's The Hunt for Red October.

Goodreads readers had these comments:

"It had a solid plot. The story took a nice and easy pacing. I can't fault the build up of scenarios and characters to its nail biting conclusion." -- Read Ng, Goodreads

"Once able to keep all of the multiple identities straight it was an extremely enjoyable read. There were multiple twists and turns that kept my attention, and a conclusion worthy of the book." -- Rachel, Goodreads

"Excellent book. Kept me reading from beginning to end. Had some very intense parts in it." -- Hilary, Goodreads

"Excellent read. I really enjoyed this one. It's got action, adventure, intrigue and great espionage. The interesting collection of characters kept me from putting it down." -- Pat, Goodreads

If you like Nelson DeMille, WEB Griffin, Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan, Lee Child's Jack Reacher, Vince Flynn's Mitch Rapp, and Robert Ludlum's Jason Bourne, you will love Necessary Measures.

Only seven people knew of Wolf Pack's existence.

Nameless faces, they race the clock to hunt down and eliminate the one who masterminded the first World Trade Center bombing, the assault on the U.S. Marine barracks in Beirut, and at least three London explosions. One so vital to the cause that he can unify terrorist factions around the globe.

The clock ticks as he prepares his next heinous attack. When, where, and most importantly, how many innocents will die â€" only he knows. He delivers his carnage indiscriminately and without warning. No one is safe.

Two masters will square off: One a master of terrorism â€" the other a master of counterterrorism.

AUTHOR'S NOTE: I wrote Necessary Measures in 1997, years before 9/11. After the book came out, I was invited to do a book signing at the Pentagon Bookstore in the Pentagon mall, where I had an opportunity to chat with a few members of our intelligence community. We talked at some length about the extent of my terrorist research at that time, and how I developed the various parts of the novel and especially the terrorist plot. Little did any of us know then just how these aspects of a fictionalized story would come to relate to the worst tragedy in our future.
