Garnet Jones journeys to rugged Montana Territory with one goal in mind; finding her ailing father and bringing him back home. Garnet plans to find her father quickly and leave on the next stage coach. She doesn't count on finding him in the care of the ruggedly handsome miner, Wyatt Tanner. She doesn't count on her pa stealing all of her savings and deserting her, or on the growing desire she feels for Wyatt. The last thing Wyatt Tanner wants is more people to take care of. Posing as a miner, the deputy is in Montana Territory to find the man who murdered his brother and tried to steal his gold. Playing the part of the gold-obsessed miner becomes harder and harder as Wyatt is drawn more and more to the woman sharing his tiny cabin. His goal to find justice for his brother is put on hold. As danger closes in on him and Garnet, the marshal quickly realizes there are some treasures more greater than gold.
