Tam is going through the motions of living. Since her father's stroke and her mother's death a few years earlier, she's given up her dreams of college and a career as an interior decorator.

When her next-door neighbor rents rooms to two handsome bachelors, Tam is quickly romanced by the sophisticated Stewart in town for business, while seemingly ignored by Luke, an artist.
