Description
It is the Age of Enlightenment, the dawn of of the age of science. But for artisans like James Sadler, it is a life of poverty, uncertainty and toil. James is enthralled by the possibility of man-made flight and determines to raise himeself and become a gentleman philosopher. But this upstart ambition brings him in conflict with the ruthless Grey Men. James must somehow balance love and ambition, secure family life and the risky life of a pioneer.
