Description
Tille and Miles Furston are staying with their grandparents in the country while their parents are in Hong Kong. Tillie is nearly eight years old and given to fancies and melodrama, while her ten-year-old brother is just the opposite--ever correct and staid.
When Tillie announces that she has found a corpse in the woods, nobody pays much attention. Indeed, they are rather cross with her for trespassing on private property.
That's why Tillie doesn't tell anyone about the dead man's watch--the one she found right next to the body in the woods. Now, carefully hidden the watch is hers--a wonderful present for her father when he returns. But unknown to Tillie, someone does know she has it, and is determined to get it back.
