This is a parody of Seabury Quinn's Jules de Grandin and Dr Towbridge, a ghostbusting duo who appeared in Weird Tales magazine throughout the 1930s and 40s. Subtle hints throughout the series suggest the two were gay. This story accepts that premise. It is meant to entertain and no offense is intended. In this episode a woman seeks help with a haunted house.
