Indian drums in the night beat out a message of danger for pretty young Serena Dahl, on an archaeological expedition to the remote mountains of New Mexico. Now this beautiful landscape had been transformed into a place of menace by fearful figures in birdlike costumes who attacked in the dark, then vanished as if by magic.
