Murder Now and Again — J.A. Knipe

In an outlying suburb of New York, Mike Hunt, successful and popular, is found dead with a bullet in his head. Detective Al Flint took the case and he and the small town of Smith's Corners would never be the same again. The town was secretive, the clues bizarre and the pressure was on Flint. Flint was the kind of cop who wouldn't let obstacles stand in his way, and when he applied his own brand of pressure, it led him straight to a second murder.
