Mari Ramirez takes a much-needed break from running her family's Mexican restaurant and books a condo on the Gulf Coast. But her parents, Abuela, younger brothers, and her feisty bulldog named Tabasco end up coming along. And when Abuela collapses on the beach, she claims that it was the work of a giant jalapeño pepper. An exploding fishing boat, a farmer's market fiasco, and a suspicious break-in all prove that Abuela might not be as crazy as she seems. Mari sets out to investigate.
