Sarie Orrick set out for Canada to find her father, only to discover he was dead. Fortunately Uncle Prescott and Aunt Germaine mad her welcome, and Sarie accepted their invitation to stay at Rickshaw Bend.

But there was danger there, for no one was what he seemed. Even the two men who vied for her affection may have been camouflaging their real interest in her -- the legendary treasure her father had left her in his will.
