Late one night, while on a stakeout at Union Station, Matt Murphy; an ex-cop and now PI, spotted a man stepping off an arriving Greyhound bus. At first, he could not believe his eyes, but then there he stood under an overhead light: Pete Mitchell, an ex-dirty cop and one of the men who tried to kill his best friend, Detective Sargent Abe Goldman. A cold smile crossed his face as he realized he was being given a chance to mark paid on a long overdue debt. But it would not be easy. Mitchell was extremely dangerous and would not hesitate to kill him or his family if given the opportunity, especially as he was mainly responsible for bringing his criminal operation down.
