She is an English visitor in Australia, She meets a charming but dangerous man from the outback. But who is he?

She goes travelling into the remotest parts of the country. She finds herself captivated but him and wants to know who he really is. He will not tells her anything about his past and when she seeks to find out she discovers terrible secrets. It seems like he is twinned to an ancient aboriginal predatory being.

Terrified she seeks to flee but it is too late. Finally at the place of the crocodiles she escapes with her life leaving him behind.

She returns to England and thinks she is safe home. But the awful secrets follow her,

Then the police have a body and have called it murder. Now they have evidence linking her to his final days.

She knows she is in terrible trouble and needs to know who this man is - the man from nowhere.
