Description
In Bad Medicine (a selection from the short story collection Fire Ants and Other Stories by Gerald Duff), a Baptist preacher takes a group of Gulf Coast amateurs on a bobcat hunt in the Big Thicket of East Texas, and they are confronted by a band of contemporary Alabama-Coushatta Native Americans who proceed to play the part of stereotypical Indians. Their medicine has been bad, they claim, and they demand compensation from the white interlopers in the thicket.
