Gunman at Large — George Douglas

In the height of its summer season Whitsea is suffering from an outbreak of robberies; Chief Inspector 'Jack' Spratt wonders whether more than one gang is involved. Sergeant Dick Garrett gets into the act when a gunman cuts loose on a caravan site, and when masked men hold up the Palladium box office. A snout, who tries to play both sides against the middle, makes complications which are heightened by a murder before Spratt can clear the Whitsea files.
