When fix-it man Howard Bell stole the ornate gold key to the executive washroom in the brand-new Matrix Building, his dreams of adventure went no farther than the mild thrill of breaking the rules. But when he unlocked the forbidden door, he was catapulted right out of the building--into an alien world of orange desert and hot sun.
He had barely killed his first enemy and made his first friend when he learned that he was trapped in the Fading Worlds, an infinite series of ever-changing battlefields, where teams of alien warriors were forced into bloody combat by unseen masters called the Keyholders.
