Crownwood — Gayle Rogers

:Crownwood is the first of a trilogy which takes the main characters from Nakoa's Woman and entwines their lives with those of Elizabeth the Great and Francis Drake. Crownwood covers the youth and marriage of Nakole Drake, adopted into the Drake clan, and the high born Mylayna Covington, who serves Queen Elizabeth at court. Nakole, a barrister, sees the only way of winning Mylayna as a wife is to be rich and so he goes on the pirating raids of Francis against Phillip II of Spain.
