Flying High! — Frieda Wishinsky

In their fifth adventure, Matt and Emily travel back to February 23, 1909. Amidst a crowd of anxious onlookers, they stand shivering on the shores of frozen Bras d'Or Lake on Cape Breton Island and wait for Alexander Graham Bell's Silver Dart to take off. With Emily's sketchbook and Matt's digital recorder, they relay the wonder of Canada's first flight. A special section at the back provides additional information about early flight.
