Description
Takadu the aardvark and Noko the porcupine live in a hut in the Mbombo hills. They spend their days making soup, thinking up songs, and drinking marula berry juice. But each night, Takadu shakes and shivers in fear of the dreaded Night Monster. Only Noko's reading of the Farmer's Weekly wool prices can lull him to sleep. Noko, naturally, gets a bit tired of reading about wool prices and sets out to cure Takadu of his fear. How he does so makes for a memorable story whose offbeat characters and simple, amusing plot delight both children and parents alike.
