Mr. Grant's Cowboy — Eugene C. Vories

Button Benton, fourteen year old son of the La Veta Postmaster, is offered the chance to ride for the summer for the Grant Ranch. Button's idol has always been Mr. Grant's son, Tom. When Tom is hurt in an accident with a horse, Button finds himself the main hand and tries his best to be a top hand. His experiences with horses, cattle, rustlers and a man who has ridden with the wild bunch make an exciting tale of the old west.
