Starlight on the Bayou — Ethel Lockwood

The telegram stated that Sharon's twin sister was seriously ill and needed her. So even though she had disapproved of Sheila's marriage and did not trust Sheila's husband, Sharon felt she had no choice but to make the trip from Missouri to Starlight Plantation on the Louisiana bayou. There, she found Sheila was not dead but missing, and that Sharon's brother-in-law, for reasons of his own, demanded that Sharon pose as his wife.
