Description
Julie Bond approached her first teaching assignment, at the Clover Hill Grammar School, with an equal mixture of expectation and trepidation. As a city girl leaving home for the first time, and about to start a career in the unfamiliar surroundings of a small town, she looked forward to meeting her fellow teachers and her young pupils, but was frightened by the prospect of displeasing the school principal, Kenneth Paxton.
What was her astonishment to find the principal young and enormously attractive, with the disconcerting ability to turn her heart topsy-turvy. However, he had fallen in love with one of the other teachers and was still nursing the wounds inflicted by her rejection of him.
A romance about what may be the most important career of all: the teaching profession.
