Liam Schaeffer is the former leader of the 'Hunter Killers', a group of elite combat veterans turned mercenaries. The unit was disbanded after a series of brutal incidents in Afghanistan. Shortly after returning to the US, he gets an urgent call for help from one of his men. He races to help, but he finds the man already dead. Murdered. And for Schaeffer, the real trouble is about to begin.

The cops arrest him and accuse him of the murder. His only hope is from a secretive intelligence officer, who visits his cell and offers him a deal to secure his freedom. Schaeffer's men face almost impossible odds, a struggle just to stay alive in the face of constant betrayal and a sadistic and vicious enemy. To carry the mission forward, they are forced to employ every ounce of their fighting skills. Yet even that may not be enough to defeat and eliminate the Mad Mullah and his fanatic legions. And then to achieve their final objective, to clear Schaeffer's name, and find the real killer.
