He didn't get why she was so afraid of the light, how she controlled darkness the way she did, or that mysterious purple eye. But now that he knew what she was, there was no reason for him to keep talking to her, and yet, he couldn't stop himself even if he tried. Complicating his life was the last thing he needed, and she would no doubt do exactly that. This witch was going to get him killed if he wasn't careful. Meanwhile Nova decided to go to a local club and scope out the paranormals there, hoping for answers that would lead her to the source of the reports. As she starts to get close to some shifters, investigating why a club would need to hire more security – the last thing she expected was to run into Dex. This is a steamy paranormal romance that takes place in the Council of Paranormals universe but is a standalone and nothing else is needed to read and enjoy this. This is NOT a reverse harem.
