Description
When a young woman called Jessie begins writing a novel set in the sixteenth century, she becomes intrigued as to how she seems to ‘know' the characters so well, along with the events in the story. Even Nat, the tutor at the evening creative writing class, whom she feels drawn to, seems vaguely familiar, yet she has never met him. Nor has she visited the grand Holgate Hall or Sunderbury Abbey of which she writes about so convincingly in her book.
At its heart The Gillyflower is a story of unfulfilled love, intrigue, deception and cruel betrayal. But when the time is right the past will serve retribution on the guilty.
