Description
Lizbeth lives a “free, feral, unfettered” lifestyle at Popes Creek, Virginia-- an oasis where innocence is lost and bad decisions are made, spontaneously, like her marriage to Jayden -- a troubled soldier who fears his deployment to Iraq. After Jayden is dishonorably discharged, Lizbeth struggles to take care of him, finds herself overburdened, suffocating, and seeks solace from Dusty, a wise Vietnam veteran who lives in her friend's basement.
