Leah is miserable when she finds out that her good friend Katrina Gray may have to leave the San Francisco Ballet Academy due to financial trouble. Then a special scholarship competition is announced; if Katrina wins, she'll get to stay at SFBA.

But as strong a dancer as Katrina is, she's no match for Leah. And despite everyone's efforts to convince Leah to drop out of the competition, Leah can't turn down a chance to dance the lead in Swan Lake -- even if it means Katrina will have to go home.
