Having almost lost his life serving his country, Matt Grogan returns to work on the Double D Ranch. There, he is reunited with Carly Rogers, who has been infatuated with Matt since she was a teen. While stranded in the wilderness and struggling to survive, they manage to find time to fall in love. When Carly is injured, Matt has to use every ounce of strength trying to save her.
