Description
All Jack Davidson was really wanted was to be left alone. After years in the Army he was finally free to get on with his life and make peace with the things he had done, and the man he had become. He had his heart set on a quiet little beach house in Sarasota, Fl where with the quiet sunsets, a few cold drinks and the help of his little brother he would begin the uphill climb that all veterans face after their service to our country is at it's end.
Jack quickly finds that the fickle finger of fate has a different plan for him, and one again the peace and quiet he seeks will have to wait. Events in the world around him quickly reshape the quiet little beach town into something closer to what he is trying to flee. Chaos once again comes to find him, and it's in the midst of an unexpected hardship he learns that life sometimes hides it's greatest pleasures in it's greatest struggles.
Jack tells his story in a refreshingly genuine and gritty tone that inspires hope, even in the midst of unexpected hardships. His story highlights the healing process that many combat veterans must go through. It highlights the power of love and it's power to change even the most broken of souls. Up From Here is a powerful tale about the fragile nature of routine, family, and love that is all at once humorous, tragic and hopeful.
