The Pawns of Arawn — David Evans

In the late 21st century, despite having what most in society crave out of life, Richard can find nothing that would give him a sense of fulfillment. As a man in his late 40s Richard has accomplished most of what he had sought after, and had thus far lived his life pretty much as he had set out to. Having everything that the modern world has to offer, and everything that he could possibly desire, he has no dreams left to dream. With nothing to seek after, he is a man devoid of dreams, in a world lacking progress and that is seemingly without a future. As long as Richard lives in the real world while most people live in a world of humanity's creation, he is left with no dreams and no hope for a future.
