Paris, 1944. War correspondent Harry Britwell chances across Jan van Vliet, a Dutch Resistance member and old acquaintance, who pleads for his help. Jan's sister Christina has been captured by the ABWEHR - the German intelligence organisation - in Holland. By threatening to hand her over to the Gestapo, they have forced him into playing the role of double-agent. But Jan's supply of false information to feed them is running out...
