Alicia Tuskey is a policewoman with a secret. It is a secret that has been eating away at her for more than a year. It was alleged that she abducted her husband's mistress and left her for dead in Englewood, one of Chicago's roughest neighborhoods. The only thing is her husband's mistress survived. Although she had been cleared of the charges by the department, it was clear she would one day have to answer for her crime.
Solanna Richards is an Internal Affairs officer assigned to investigate Alicia undercover. In order to investigate her, Solanna must get close to Alicia and betray her trust. In getting to know Officer Tuskey, Solanna befriends Alicia and boundaries become blurred as the women develop a sisterhood while fighting crime on the streets.
Solanna's job is to prove Alicia's guilt. The only thing Solanna thinks Alicia is guilty of is being a strong independent black woman on a male dominated police force.
Jolene Tusley is the former mistress and now wife of Matthew Tuskey, Alicia's ex-husband. Jolene has an axe to grind and now that she is clean, she wants revenge against the police officer that turned her onto a life of drugs and prostitution.
The lives of these three women will be forever intertwined. This is a story of love, honor, betrayal, and murder. Only one woman can come out of the situation unscathed, and that woman will be offered Congratulations.
